As it has been such a beautiful week it would be a shame not to take any pictures of the garden, it is looking very well for the moment, I sometimes wish I could stop time.
A red dragonfly sitting on my hand.
Alfie enjoying the shade, I had to sit on the grass.
I managed to capture the dragonflies laying eggs, there appear to be much more dragonflies this year than
previous years
From this bug crawling up a flowerpot in the greenhouse to...........
A few minutes later
It is shaping up slowly...
This one is not perfect
Nearly there
A beautiful Ermine moth
The whole process took just over an hour and I felt realy good about having seen this in real life instead of on wildlife programs. My only regret is that I'm not a better photographer.
Peony rose, perfect blooms this year as we've had no rain for ages.
The Clematis Montana is the most beautiful I've ever seen it, perhaps the cold winter helped to make it bloom so well

What a lovely garden! I am not at all green fingered and i wish i was. i could kill a cactus which is a sad state of a ffairs as my granfather was very high up in the Dahlia society in Northern Ireland (guess not all genes get passed on!) I love the morphing moth piccies (even though i have a massive phobia of the things!) I will have to show those to Big Dude tomorrow as he is facinated by anything like that. If you are ever in Wales and fancy tackling my garden.....!
xx
it does look so good Claire - thanks to all your hard work, and its nice to sit back and relax and feel happy you did well this year - your guests must be oohing and aahing at the garden too.
Wonderful moth photos!! I certainly do think the frost helped a lot of things - but on the other hand it killed or blighted just as many, so it's a case of win some, lose some! The mint is flourishing - I'll get a few cooking apples and replenish my mint jelly supply soon :D.
Absolutely gorgeous pics Claire!!
I normally have a fear of moths, so hate them but the pics of this one are gorgeous!!
Abslutely fabulous photos Claire. been sitting here admiring them and all your fabulous cards.
